SDC’s commitment for Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) comprises:

• Advocating for a Safe and sustainable basic sanitation, hygiene and drinking water for all;
• Working towards full Implementation of the human rights to water and sanitation;
• Increasing access for people in rural areas, small towns and peri-urban areas to clean drinking water and basic sanitation services, through water treatment and safe storage at household level, water supply and sanitations services at communities or district levels, WASH in emergency context as well as WASH in schools & in health centres;
• Supporting networks for policy dialogue, governance & integrity in the WASH sector and global monitoring of WASH coverage;
• Developing innovative partnerships models for know-how transfers and leverage of  funds.
