Peace Governance Equality Section

This is a multi-thematic section whose activities help address global challenges in the fields of peace, human rights, good governance, combatting corruption, gender equality and social equality, and culture and development.

Our thematic objectives

Promoting conflict sensitivity, prevention & transformation, and the respect of human rights, in face of increased fragility, political polarisation, structural discriminations, crises, conflicts and violence Promoting equal access to services, resources, participation for all, and combating gender/other identity-based violence, in face of persistent inequalities, harmful social norms, and structural violence Promoting accountable institutions, inclusive services, empowered citizens, in face of democratic backslide, systemic corruption and shrinking civic space Promoting arts and culture as a human right and a foundation for a strong civil society - for transformative social change, in face of shrinking spaces for artists and pressure on freedom of expression

What we offer

	Multi-thematic competence centre and ‘one stop shop’ for operational support: Advise, trainings, tools for programmes and operations in partner countries Interdisciplinary thematic learning through thematic networks with strong connections across SDC: supports knowledge exchange and peer learning, and provides needs-based training upon request to the cooperation offices Policy dialogue linking field experience with national and global processes: Positions themes in policy dialoge at all levels Strategic engagements with partners, programmes, networks and policy initiatives: Manages and steers strategic partnerships
