Convergence is the global network for blended finance. SDC has become recently a member.
What is blended finance? Blended finance uses catalytic capital from public or philanthropic sources to increase private sector investment and engagement in developing countries to realize the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Blended finance has mobilized over $100 billion to-date, based on Convergence data. As SDC is working towards an increase in its joint projects with the private sector, innovative finanance mechanism and blended finance play a crucial role.
