High-Level Conference on Women's Empowerment in the World of Work
Women are still highly under-represented in the global labour market. A study by the McKinsey Global Institute suggests that narrowing the gender gap would not only be equitable in the broadest sense, but would also double women’s contribution to global GDP. But what exactly do we need to do to empower women economically worldwide? What are effective tools? And how can we implement women’s economic empowerment within Swiss corporates?
These are the questions we will attempt to answer during a high-level conference organized by foraus – Swiss Forum on Foreign Policy and the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA), in collaboration with Global Compact Network Switzerland. We are very honored to welcome Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka (Executive Director of UN Women) and Simona Scarpaleggia (CEO Ikea Switzerland) as keynote speakers. A full list of all the speakers will follow shortly.
