Gaza & Westbank | Resilient culture & art for social change
01.12.22 - 31.12.26Culture and arts play a key role to promote Palestinian identities, dialogue and freedom of expression.
Myanmar | Culture for Development (C4D)
01.08.20 - 31.12.23The project aims to support freedom of expression and cultural identity, to promote skills and jobs in arts
and culture. This will contribute to support socio economic development and to strengthen social cohesion. Covid-19 has massively eroded livelihoods and carries a further risk for fundamental freedoms and civil society participation. The support to the culture sector is a relevant complement and leverage to Switzerland’s current interventions for peace, democracy and sustainable development in Myanmar.
Nicaragua | Sociedad, Cultura y Memoria
01.08.19 - 31.12.23The “Society, culture and memory” programme promotes culture and historical memory in Central America to stimulate processes leading towards more inclusive, less violent societies. Both culture and historical memory have enormous potential to help to create identities and transform societies in the Central American region, which has been characterized by inconclusive peace and democratization processes and the highest rates of violence in the world. With its long presence in the region and its impartial reputation, Switzerland is well positioned to enhance these processes.
