Governance Structure

The Governance Structure of the GPEDC

161 countries and 45 organisations endorsed the Global Partnership Principles. Membership has no financial obligation.

The GPEDC is co-chaired by Mexico, the Netherlands and Malawi.

Its Steering Committee of 21 members includes representatives from national governments, civil society, private sector, local governments, foundations, parliaments, development banks and the UN, reflecting the broad diversity of development cooperation actors and the inclusive scope of the Busan "Partnership Agreement".

The GPEDC adopted a "global light, country heavy" approach. A very small Joint Support Team (6 people) consists of staff from UNDP and OECD.
