High-level Fora and Outcomes

Aid Effectiveness High-level Fora and Outcomes

The first High-Level Meeting of the Global Partnership took place in Mexico City on 15-16 April 2014. Nevertheless, the GPEDC builds on the experience made at the High-Level Fora in Paris (2005), Akkra (2008) and Busan (2011).

The next HLM will take place in Summer 2016 in Nairobi.

High-Level Meetings take place every one and a half to two years with a rolling agenda.

Monitoring

At least as important as the outcomes of the High-Level Meeting are the findings of the GPEDC Global Monitoring Framework, which builds on indicators defined at the Paris Conference.

A first Monitoring Progress Report since Busan was released in April 2014 together with a New Deal Progress Report.

Preparatory Process of High-Level Meetings:

The preparatory process is not formalized with time-bound commitments, but is prepared at the SC Meetings and the meetings of the SC members with their respective constituencies.

The 7th SC Meeting will take place in the Netherlands and is planned for December 2014/January 2015.

The GPEDC also engages in various regional consultations and other relevant global forums and meetings.

An annual GPEDC workshop is hosted by Korea and will be held for the second time in November 2014.
