Ageing and Health Concept of the Swiss Red Cross
The concept outlines the context and challenges of Ageing and Health
globally. The SRC pursues four outcomes in Ageing and Health:
1) Improving
access to good quality home-based care services;
2) Increasing the
participation and social inclusion of elderly people is increased and
age-friendly environments are supported;
3) The needs of elderly people in the
disaster risk management cycle are taken account of and are met;
4) More
commitment to action on Ageing and Health is advocated for inside the SRC, the
Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement as well as globally with Ministries and
other stakeholders.
