7th edition of the Geneva Health Forum

The 7th edition of the Geneva Health Forum successfully ended on Thursday April 12th. The 2018 edition gathered over 12000 participants during 3 days around the theme “Precision Global Health in the Digital Age”. The Geneva Health Forum is an international forum of innovative practices in global health with the aim to showcase innovative, accessible and sustainable practices for better health access and equity. This year, the GHF explored the impact of the digital revolution in our current health practices. Thanks to the wide range of participants from various sectors and countries, the GHF could once more promote dynamic networking and innovative partnerships among stakeholders active in global health.

For the first time a Grand Jet d’Or de Genève award was also attributed to a senior global health scientist/policy maker/or professional. Although the award went to the meritorious Marcel Tanner (former Swiss TPH director), the Global Program Health is very proud that Jacques Mader was among the 7 nominated!

Otherwise SDC Global Health Programme was very active with the organization of several round tables and an information booth. SDC Director-General Manuel Sager gave a Keynote Speech during the opening ceremony.

Here you can find the complete speech by SDC Director-General Manuel Sager.
