From 20 - 23 September 2016 the Face-to-Face (F2F) meeting of the Western Balkan (WBA) e+i practisioners took place in Pristina Kosovo. 25 participants from the WBA cooperation offices, the SDC head office, representatives from other Eastern offices as well as selected implementation partners actively participated in it. This year’s topic was centred around Vocational Skills Development (VSD) and had the objective to learn about SDC’s VSD direction and get concrete ideas how VSD projects could reach out more to the private sector and excluded target groups with appropriate, efficient and effective models of collaboration and delivery mechanism.

One important topic was also to learn from a consultant the basics and worldwide experiences about Social Entrepreneurship (SE) following which first experiences in the WBA were highlighted by some of the participants. In line with the new bill to the parliament, dual education was discussed in detail, starting with the perspective from Switzerland and then concrete applications of selected elements in the WBA. Similarly Social Inclusion (SI) what it means and how it was and can be applied more in the projects were presented and discussed. The seminar was rounded up with a field visit to two SDC supported projects, an innovation centre for young and old and a cave in the Western part of Kosovo that was made accessible and is being promoted to tourists through an intervention in the tourist sector.  Selected presentations of the F2F will be placed in this folder.
