"Ending poverty in all its forms everywhere" – the overarching goal of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development – reflects the growing consensus on the need to consider other dimensions, beyond monetary ones, when thinking about poverty.
With the aim to understand the multiple dimensions of poverty and their inter-relatedness more thoroughly, the International Movement ATD Fourth World, jointly with researchers from Oxford University, launched a participatory research project in 2016 in six countries (Bangladesh, Bolivia, France, Tanzania, the United Kingdom and the United States).
The participatory research methodology «Merging Knowledge» included practitioners, academics as well as persons facing poverty as co-reseachers.
In May 2019, the OECD and ATD Fourth World held an international conference to share the research outcomes as well as to discuss the questions and insights raised by the project. Click here to watch the video of the conference.
