Local Inclusion, Social Cohesion and Durable Solutions

Migration and forced displacement are global phenomena, but the vast majority of forcibly displaced persons are hosted by Lower- and Middle-Income Countries. Migration and forced displacement put an additional strain on host countries and communities. This can spur conflicts, further discrimination and lead to a loss of social cohesion. Investing in inclusive governance systems in hosting countries is therefore key.
