To make gender equality more visible and more comprehensive, a first compendium “Working on Gender Equality. Good practices from the Eastern and Southern Africa Region” was produced. These good practices are structured according to distinct processes such as: i) Gender analysis, ii) Gender in policy dialogue and advocacy, iii) Engaging Men and Boys, iv) Gender principal initiatives and v) Gender in results based management. You find the compendium below, featured as a key document.
Webinars will be organized to deepen the topics with SDC’s country offices in the Region so as to consider this compendium as a dynamic learning tool. Other SDC Divisions are highly encouraged to conceive their own compendium and enrich these experiences.
Compendium on Good Practices for Gender Equality in Eastern and Southern Africa (2021)
In the Eastern and Southern Africa Region, SDC’s country offices support many initiatives to better assess, respond and reduce inequalities between women and men, girls and boys. To make them more visible and comprehensive, the Eastern and Southern Africa Division compiled good practices in this online compendium accessible to all SDC staff and its partners.
Selected contributions from SDC gender focal points on breaking the gender bias in their local context.
