As a preparation for the F2F and in order to use the networks' learning and experiences to support effective SDG implementation in the field of gender equality, justice, peace- and statebuilding the SDC Gender and CHR networks conducted a joint e-discussion from 25 April to 9 May 2016. Basis for the e-discussion was an input paper, which was sent to all participants with the launch of the discussion. It highlights the gender dimensions of conflict and fragility, links gender with state- and peacebuilding and contains the most important references.

The discussion was based on questions how to integrate gender across the 5 PSGs to support SDG5 and 16, what challenges COOF's face in doing this, how they integrate a gender lens in their context analysis and what is new with agenda 2030. A report of the e-discussion summarises the most important issues from the 28 contributions from COOF's from all over the world and SDC partners. The rich fundus of experiences can also be accessed in form of a compilation of all contributions.

A video interview with Flurina Derungs from the Interdisciplinary Centre for Gender Studies (University of Bern) who was responsible for the e-discussion presents the main findings. Even though there were many valuable contributions only some examples can be discussed. A big thanks to all of you who contributed to this very lively and inspiring e-discussion!
