Results Measurement in PSD

Results Measurement in PSD

Pressures to measure and report on the results of private sector development are growing rapidly and current PSD programmes are often not getting credit for what they are achieving. Recent efforts have now allowed developing some standards and useful tools in results measurement which you can find below.

SDC puts increasing emphasis on results measurement in its private sector development projects. In May 2009, the E&I network organised a Seminar on “Making Markets Work for the Poor: Results Measurement in Private Sector Development - Current Practice and Challenges ahead” in Bern, Switzerland. At the face-to-face event in May 2011, there was a training on results measurement and in May 2013 a working session on the topic.

SDC also participated in the DCED Global Seminars on Results Measurement in 2012 and 2014. The main insights from the 2014 seminar are summarized in a report.
