Governance as Transversal Theme

The concept of local governance focuses on the execution of public duties and democratic practice at sub-national levels. Important is the constructive interaction between multiple actors, building trust and social cohesion. Transversal governance describes the integration of the concept of good governance into all sectors of development cooperation. For example: applying a systemic political perspective, including the human rights agenda and promoting good governance principles in the health sector. Social inclusion is an important element of governance as transversal theme (principle of equality and non-discrimination)
