Thinking and working politically – managerial and operational aspects of using Political Economy Analysis (PEA)"

Dear Colleagues,

The Political Economy for Practitioner's Expert Group is delighted to announce a course on "Thinking and working politically – managerial and operational aspects of using Political Economy Analysis (PEA)" for development reforms. This two-day workshop will take place in Bern from 11th - 12th September 2018. 

The course is limited to 20 persons and the application deadline is 12th July 2018. Please contact us if you are interested in participating.

By the end of this workshop, you will have advanced your knowledge on the operational and management aspects of using political economy analysis. In particular, you will have learned:

  • how to adapt programmes based on PEA findings;

  • how to manage partnerships and risks based on PEA findings;

  • how to overcome institutional barriers in your own agency;

  • what iterative and adaptive management of programmes means.
