Apply for Experience Consolidation Workshop on Mainstreaming Social Accountability
Leveraging the experience of CARE Bangladesh and benefitting from their offer to host network members, LOGIN announces a learning engagement that draws attention to different approaches to mainstreaming social accountability for improved public sector performance. A significant focus of the workshop will be the role and responsibilities of civil society in leveraging spaces - created by the affirmative action of the state - for enhancing social accountability.
The learning engagement will focus on :Discussions on constructs, frameworks, guidelines enabling Social Accountability in the regional and national contexts
Introduction to the work of CARE Bangladesh and exposure to their work on
Community Mobilisation and creation and use of participatory spaces
Use of social accountability tools and accompanying processes to leverage participatory spaces for citizen-government engagement and
Incentivising Union parishads (local governments) to mainstream accountability and gradually inculcating a culture of accountability and answerability.
Capitalising on members' experiences to explore and better understand other initiatives aiming to mainstream social accountability in varied contexts
