Dear colleagues,
SDC MEG project (Municipal Environmental and Economic Governance) in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) is looking for one international expert and one local expert (from BiH) to perform the external review of its first phase (Jun 2016-May 2020), in the period June-July 2019.
The first phase of the MEG project is implemented by United Nations Development Program (UNDP), with a total budget of CHF 12 million. It supports citizens in 18 municipalities (total population 850'000 people) in having better services as a result of improved democratic governance and regulatory frameworks in the environmental and economic sectors. The project is enhancing the oversight role of municipal councils and citizens' participation, and is providing a performance-based financial support to municipalities.
The overall MEG goal is that local governments, assigned with appropriate competences and finances, have improved their democratic governance, apply sound public policy and performance management systems and provide public services in an inclusive, effective and efficient manner, particularly those related to the environmental and economic sectors.
