This workshop was initiated by SDC’s Democratization, Decentralization and Local Governance (DDLG) unit within the Learn4Dev Framework to facilitate peer-to-peer learning on thinking and working politically (TWP). The majority of participants were SDC staff from headquarters, but the group was complemented by two participants from Helvetas in Kosovo and one participant from GIZ.

The first day was devoted to the theme of thinking politically. This included lesson learning from undertaking politically informed analyses (such as political economy analysis -PEA, power analysis or conflict analysis) and experience sharing on applying these analyses todevelopment programming. The second day was dedicated to the theme ofworking politically, both with external partners and within development organisations.
