The Global Taskforce of Local and Regional Governments has published a paper on: 'Roadmap for localizing the SDGs: Implementation and Monitoring at Subnational Level.' The short documents gives a good overview what the role of local governments can be in
(1) Promoting the Agenda 2030;
(2) Shaping a national strategy for the Agenda 2030;
(3) Implementing the SDGs at the local level.
It is a short concise document that mentions different good practices and examples.
