This is a joint learning journey of the Peace, Governance and Equality PGE Cluster. It sets off a process of collaborative learning and exchanges on challenges of engagement in contexts of democratic reversals and long-standing authoritarian contexts, through the lenseses of governance, fragility, gender equality and inclusion. The ultimate goal of the learning journey is to highlight key considerations for an approach to development cooperation in authoritarian contexts that is transformative and effective in advancing the fundamental liberties and human rights of the people.
This page hosts selected resources on the impact of COVID-19 from a governance perspective. It is a DDLGN space to share about country specific challenges and SDC responses. It aims guide SDC on how to respond to the COVID-19 crissis while preserving and promoting democratic governance, gender equality and social inclusion, and respecting and protecting human rights and civic space/liberties.
To understand how the SDC addresses and promotes SIB/GRB goals, the Gender Equality Network together with DDLGN initiated a joint learning journey. The overall goal was to learn and examine how socially inclusive and gender responsive budgeting (SIB/GRB) can be strengthened in SDC programmes and projects.
