The latest SDC reflection paper examines challenges and opportunities of innovation and digitalisation in the cultural sector, provides context to the COVID-19 crisis as well as to current global challenges, and highlights examples of SDC's work on culture and development from different countries. The paper was written by Ana Letunic, cultural policy expert and performing arts curator, together with SDC colleagues in the field of culture and development.

The paper reflects on the challenges but also the importance of evaluating cultural projects, as well as possible ways forward. The reflection paper “The Culture of Evaluation” is written by the author François Matarasso with input from the Community of Practice Culture Matters.
The COVID-19 pandemic is leaving its mark.
