SDC started to use cash and voucher assistance 1999 in its directly implement projects. Since then, SDC Humanitarian Aid has implemented approx. 30 Cash Projects with a total budget of more than CHF 60 million. The projects focused mainly on supporting families who host refugees or IDPs, supporting families in rehabilitating their houses, and supporting families in re-establishing their livelihoods following natural disasters or conflict.
