From 1983 to 2003 SDC has carried out the POSTCOSECHA programme in Central America. Today the POSTCOSECHA strategy is still flourishing. At the end of 2009 around 670'000 metal silos have been in use. See the details on:

Program
Honduras has been the first country where the POSTCOSECHA strategy was developed as an aid sponsored rural development approach. SDC supported the POSTCOSECHA project in Honduras from 1980 to 2003. Since 2003 it is a sub program of the Instituto Nacional de Formación Profesional (INFOP).
